I’m delighted to announce that I have been elected as the Conservative County Councillor for Donington Rural for the next four years. I will now have to learn a different skill set to deal with County issues and I am looking forward to this challenge. My first important meeting will on Monday, 8th May 2017 -“Declaration of Acceptance of Office” which will take place at the Lincolnshire County Council offices.
I will update this page when I have more information in respect of the panel(s) I will be assigned to.
I feel very proud for what I have achieved. I’m looking forward to working hard for Donington Rural and with John Hayes, CBE, MP to secure the best Brexit deal for Donington Rural and put the Great back into Great Britain. As with my District Council responsibilities, my aim is to give 100% to my new role of County Councillor.
I will work hard to delivery my three point plan and be a strong voice for all our local community at County Hall.
Better Street Lighting – I will campaign for better street lighting across our local area. Safety for residents has to be a priority.
Tackling Eyesores – I am passionate about turning disused commercial buildings back into commercial or residential use such as The Red Cow, Donington.
Less Litter and Dog Fouling – Working together to keep our area tidy and make our community a pleasure to live, work and raise a family in.
I’ve been assigned to the Highways Committee and all things in respect of highways.
